The Oldest National Trust Support Group in the South-East Region
“I declare this world is so beautiful that I can hardly believe it exists.” The beauty of nature can have a profound effect upon our senses, those gateways from the outer world to the inner, whether it results in disbelief in its very existence as Emerson notes, or feelings such as awe, wonder, or amazement.
We raise funds to support the Trust and arranges an enjoyable programme of social events and activities for members.
Talks are held from October to April at 2.30 pm on the first Thursday of the month and at 7.00 pm on the third Friday of the month at the Withdean Sports Centre. There are also a number of social events including a spring lunch, Christmas tea and a New Year lunch. In the summer the group arranges outings to National Trust places and other sites of interest.
Getting together with other National Trust enthusiasts, members and volunteers who feel passionate about the same things is priceless. Sharing unique experiences and finding out more about the places you care about is what being part of a local National Trust supporter group is all about.
